Slow Learner     For the past few days, I have been lagging behind in my chores doing only bare minimum needed for the day to smoothly sail in. This includes cooking, vegetable shopping and  checking mails. So, today being a Monday, I decided to inspire myself by reading some inspirational quotes about education. When I stumbled upon this quote "If you have told a child thousand times, he/she still does not understand, then it is not the child who is the slow learner" - Walter barbee, it struck a chord with me. It just shows that we are caught in the web of looking at things from one angle and it has entangled to the point we are not able to see other angles to it. This is true to me when I deal with my daughter who is a fuzzy eater. I guess what bugs me most is that she takes about 45 mins to complete her small meal. I keep repeating to her "you need to eat faster" and she does her usual routine of taking her own sweet time. I rec

 Vande Mataram! For the past 2 days I have been hearing the song "Vande Mataram"  that  kids were practicing at school for the Republic day. It is so wonderful to see that  kids are learning the importance of patriotism and what it means to be one at an young age. Since, they were cheerfully participating in the Republic day function I thought I should prepare things that reflects the same theme.  So, digging into the fridge to find what vegetables that I have, gave me an idea to prepare the tricolour paratha... Ingredients Whole wheat flour - 2 cups Salt - 1/4 to  1/2 tsp water - 1/2 cup Procedure Mix all the ingredients together to make a stiff dough. Set it aside for 1/2 hr. For the Stuffing   Ingredients Small cauliflower - 1 Carrot - 1 Coriander leaves - 1 handful Cumin  powder - 1/2 tsp Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp oil - 1 Tb spoon Procedure
